About Us
Aurora House is a Creative Community Studio
Aurora House is a creative community studio and sanctuary in Austin, TX. We are on a mission to support women and non-binary people in reconnecting with our truest selves through creative expression and intentional connection. In a world that often tells us who we should be, we are dedicated to providing a space where you are invited to show up authentically and will be embraced simply for being yourself.
At Aurora House, we believe that creativity is a powerful tool for self-discovery, healing, and empowerment. You don’t have to see yourself as a “creative” to be here. It’s not about perfection or achieving something; it’s about being present on a journey of authentic self-expression. Whether it’s through creating, connecting, or reflecting, you are invited to explore and discover what makes you feel whole and alive. We offer community experiences, art classes, and mindfulness events in an inclusive environment designed to nurture your creativity and well-being.

About our Founder
Meet Sarah King
After years of navigating burnout as the Chief Operating Officer at an AI company, I left my role to rediscover myself and realign with my core values. I created Aurora House because I believe in the transformative power of community and creativity to heal, grow, and empower women.
In a world that often pressures us to fit into molds that don’t align with our authentic selves, many of us are feeling the pull to disconnect from our phones, find balance between self-acceptance and self-improvement, and navigate our relationships to acceptance, belonging, and pleasure. Through my own on-going journey of self-discovery and healing, I realized how crucial it is to have a space where you can unplug, create, and be supported. Aurora House is the manifestation of that vision—a space for women and non-binary people to explore their creativity, connect with a like-hearted community, and nurture their well-being.
I wanted to create a sanctuary where people could feel safe to be themselves, explore their passions, and reconnect with what truly matters to them. A place where we can collectively explore these edges and rediscover what resonates with our authenticity, drawing out our true soul-essence. This type of work feels like a fantasy, leaving us wondering how to even confront this type of exploration; and that’s exactly why Aurora House exists—to provide a space where you can find clarity, support, and self-expression.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share this space with you, and to witness the magic that unfolds when women come together to create, heal, and grow.

With love and gratitude,
Sarah
